Mitel Business Development Specialist
LOCATION : Avon, Ohio
COMPENSATION : Base Salary, plus bonus opportunity
WORK HOURS : 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
REPORTS TO : Director of Mitel Solutions

  • Bachelor's Degree in business/marketing/sales, or 4+years of relevant product management, sales/or business development.


Communicate and deliver the vendor’s value proposition to Jenne’s existing and new reseller base, inside & outside sales teams. The roles and responsibilities of the Mitel Business Development Specialist may include but are not limited to:

Drive the sales strategy for the Mitel product line
  • Exercise independent judgement to identify, develop and establish relationships with new resellers
  • Drive sales activity and be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Heavy outbound business development calling and networking to identify and hunt for new business leads
  • Recruit, Onboard, train, mentor and motivate new reseller partners on Mitel product offerings
  • Convert existing resellers from marketing competitive brands to Mitel products
  • Drive the launch of new Mitel products and programs
  • Understand Mitel’s key initiatives, products and vertical markets served
  • Work with Jenne and Mitel sales teams to expand Reseller base and close opportunities
  • Develop plan by region and customer segment to achieve revenue & goals

Point of contact for Jenne resellers on Mitel Programs
  • Drive new reseller recruits to Mitel’s Partner Program
  • Utilize Mitel programs and incentives to leverage sales
  • Manage rebate program (special bid process) with Mitel, Jenne & Resellers
  • Utilize applicable vertical focused programs to drive sales in different customer segments – Public Sector, education, healthcare, enterprise, and SMB

Provide product expertise for sales and resellers
  • Understand product road maps & communicate key elements
  • Understand go-to-market strategies, category trending and competitive information
  • Product expert on Mitel Portfolio
  • Utilize and provide tools, guides, and literature for resellers and Jenne sales teams

Develop relationships with sales and resellers
  • Develop a “Focus” partner list through profiling and field engagement efforts
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Qualify, drive and track closure of pipeline opportunities with resellers
  • Establish relationships and regular communication with Mitel sales teams
  • Develop engagement plan between Mitel and Jenne sales teams
  • Engage with key customers using video conferencing, audio conferencing, and trade shows
Return on Investment (ROI) Measurements
  • Increase Mitel revenue with existing and new Mitel Resellers
  • Increase number of resellers purchasing Mitel products from Jenne
  • Minimum of 100 total outbound calls to net new & existing resellers weekly

  • Minimum of 2 plus years of business development experience
  • Product background knowledge of telephony, headsets, and unified communications a plus
  • Must be a highly motivated and possess a personal commitment to the success of the sales organization and goals
  • MS Office - 2010 (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and PC fluency required

  • Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
